Thermography Procedure

  • For breast (or region of interest) thermography appointments, allow approximately 30 minutes for the entire session (which generally consists of 6-7 images). This includes the first 15 minutes which are used to fill out forms and gather background information (further described below).

  • For full body thermography appointments, allow approximately 60 minutes for the entire session (which generally consists of 15-20 images). Again, this includes the first 15 minutes which are used to fill out forms and gather background information.

  • Prior to the exam, you will be asked to fill out questionnaire and sign a release. This will be done in the examination room once you have changed into a gown. This will allow your body to adjust to the temperature of the room.

  • A digital infrared camera and a computer will be used for the examination. Remember, there is NO radiation nor is there any breast compression or contact.

  • The Thermographer doing the exam is certified by the ACCT
(e.g. the American College of Clinical Thermology).

  • Your exam will be analyzed by a Medical Doctor, board certified in Clinical Thermology by the ACCT and, in most cases, the results are available within 24 hours.
